By "slowing down" there are two different ways this could happen. the first is if it started rotating less quickly. If this were to happen, the days would become longer and the ecosystem would have to adapt or it would crash. the second way is if the earth's orbit were to slow. If this happened, the year would become longer, as well as the seasons. this too would cause a large change in the ecosystem, and if it couldn't be repaired it would crash. But either one would take a massive amount of force to happen, the likes of which mankind has yet to harness.
As for a decrease in gravity, this is highly unlikely. Gravity is by definition the attraction of two objects to one another. Objects with larger mass have a stronger attraction. The reason we are rooted to earth is simply because we have nothing of the same scope of size as a planet. If we were to make something that huge with that much mass, we would be drawn to it as well. But back to the point, to decrease gravity, the earth would have to greatly decrease in mass. Once again, mankind most likely cannot yet do this. I personally believe that even the accumulation of all the nuclear weapons created could not do so. However, if it could be done, the repercussiuons would be vast. We would be lighter, yes, but so would the earth. Losing that much mass would destabilize our orbit around the sun. Losing this orbit would cause a slow but steady spiral into the sun, a fiery grave for all life on earth.

For Earth's gravity to decrease, a significant amount of mass would have to be removed. There's not much chance of that happening.
If the Earth were to lose angular velocity, its orbit would change and move closer to the sun.

depends how much slower the earth slows down. If it did slow down just enough to make a difference we will be lighter in weight for starters the whole ecosystem will probaly crash, hurricanes, tsunamies, tornadoes all the stuff because of the change the sun will heat our waters. not only that but we will actually start to move closer to the sun and life in the end will cease with the earth as well.
This will not happen in one day either but that will be the end result in time, if that were to happen. But since that will never happen in our life time or even in our 100th generation of grand children we will never truely know.

SLows down in it's orbit or in it's rotation?
orbit: the erath will fall into the sun
rotation: day and night will be 6 months long
gravity decreases: if it's a little bit, things will grow a little taller, atmosphere will be higher, etc...
If a lot, life may completely change, tides will change, mountains won't crumble as fast, etc...

what kind of slow down? if it slows down like it will take longer to orbit the sun, we will end up eventually hitting the sun because we no longer have enough speed to escpe its direct pull on us. if we do slow down we will start drifting closer to the sun and first, burn up. but we would also have more days in one year.
if our rotation slows down our days become longer which means we will have less days in a year.
all of these would screw over all of the calanders.
