I have never really calculated how much time I spend cooking for my wife I'm a professionally trained cook and enjoy it and love doing stuff for her. Can you really place a time limit on
doing something for the one you love. That would be like saying to your mate honey I only got 20 minutes of lovemaking time for you this week so no forplay allowed.

I would say it takes as long as it takes to make the meal good and tasty. I place the same philosophy on are private time.

I try not to spend too long - maybe 10 minutes prep time and 20-30 minutes cooking time, depending on the recipe. It's not the cooking, it's the time spent enjoying the meal at the table. Sometimes we cook together - like taco night.

If that "mate" is my husband, I spend just about everyday cooking for him - except on the days that he takes me out to dinner or he does the cooking.

My husband does the cooking. Sometimes it's a fast meal, like soup and sandwiches. Sometimes he can spend 40 minutes on cooking, but rarely longer than that.

it depends. i mean now i work fulltime so the nites i am not home...he has to make a frozen dinner or go out to eat. but i usually cook if i work 8 until 5 i come home and put on my cozy clothes and cook and clean the kitchen etc... but like tonite my scedule is 2 to 10 so when he gets home at 2;30 he wont have dinner on the table so it is left up to himto make something ....bu on average week i cook5 to 6 days out of a week.

Zip, Zero, Zilch.. Last time I tried cooking for him he was in the hospital for a week with intense food poisoning, and cramping. So our gentlemans arrangement is he cooks, or I'm really good at scavenging food from drive thrus and restaraunts. I have no complaints! :)
