I think its gross if I see it, but if they spit in the grass its no problem.. I dont really have a problem with it where I come from everyone spits! ;)

depends who you spit on? I dont see it as any worse than carrying snot around in a rag that you keep in your pocket...
but then again... I live in the jungle and the only people I deal with are monkeys... sometimes a charging rhino...
