The darker the skin color, the poorer a nation is and its people. Why? Start in Europe down to Africa.

How about the degree and extent of their poverty? Compare the poor in Europe that in Africa and in other parts of the world.

How about the hundreds to thousands of people who are dying each day in Sudan due to hunger? Almost 100 billion pounds of food is wasted in America each year, on average, American households waste 14 percent of their food purchases.

It has nothing to do with skin color and everything to do with economic development (which is also linked to climate).

Civilization began near rivers. A steady source of water allowed agriculture and facilitated trade. Agriculture allowed people to stay put so they could start developing industry. If you have to cart everything on your back in a nomad existence, you don't own much or make much.

There aren't that many dependable rivers in Africa so the people there (who happened to be dark skinned) stayed in a nomadic existence and didn't make things they couldn't carry with them. The reason they think of themselves now as poor is because they have seen the outside world and they want a better life for their children--and all those things they can't carry with them. That means they have to have housing and they have to stay in one place and they STILL don't have reliable water supplies.

If you really look at the fighting in Africa, it is mostly over the arable farm land and the best water. It isn't over oil. Groups are fighting over the right to have the best land so they can have good houses and good things. Because all the good land has been claimed, there are only two ways to get it--buy it or steal it. The problem is the people who have it are not willing to sell.

The solution is actually to build pipelines and water de-salination plants that pump water from the oceans into the interior of Africa. Make water available everywhere. Make most of the continent prosperous.

Of course, that would further destabilize the region because the lands on either side of the pipelines would suddenly become the richest lands in Africa.

By the way, Europe has never hurt for water and that is why civilization progressed there faster than anywhere else.

Not really. Just remove the non indigenous population and culture from most of these countries and you'll find that poverty seems to magically disappear.

Poverty only exists when someone is sucking resources dry from a nation and hording it for themselves or their inner circle.

Color has little to do with it, as even the indigenous Brits, who are white, were subject to the same thing that native Americans were, as the Africans have now since their culture has been Europeanised (Dictators, Banks, Money, Slavery, ownership of property, etc).

It's poverty and upbringing. Most of these criminals came from single parent homes with a history of drug use and crime. You can already see it in a child by the time he starts school. You can tell which ones will make it and which ones don't stand a chance.

Not necessarily. In Europe, there're plenty of poor people but they're not dark. People in Africa are dark for a specific reason, they live in a land that scorching hot. Have you noticed they have broader feet? That's for trekking across deserts. Look at America, there plenty of poor people here, too. Bums in the city and such, but they're fair skinned. It all depends on your genetics .

No. Try Eastern Europe, the former USSR and North America.

Poverty is related to irresponsible behaviour that continues from one generation to the next.

" Blessed are the POOR in spirit, for they will inherit the world."
the babble.
Who built that there tower of babble anyways?
Must be the reason those damned cockroaches are taking over. Never seen a white one! Well, maybe one, in Texas, but he had oil up his rig.

I think it's a culture thing, not a skin color thing... The darker the skin color the more relaxed the culture..

they don't worry about making money, they just live life.... but that's what hurts them in the end.

Nothing to do with the color- more the location.

It is a class thing- economic- avaliable resources and such.
