Yes. The point of the cast is to hold the arm in place while it heals. The point of displaying a body in a casket is to make it appear restful and healthy while the family gets on with the business of grieving. (He looks like he's sleep!)
Since the arm will no longer heal, but a cast might be an alarming reminder that someone is - well, not alright - the cast would be removed.
BTW - If you are concerned about a cast at yoru funeral - I would consider some lower risk activities and you might avoid both...

Why would you want to take off the cast? It is a part of the person at the time. Should you take off their clothes and present them that way in the casket? I want to be cremated. I've taken care of people in the last moments. It's the soul that's important, not the shell.

i would think that the cast would be taken off during the post mortem and also if this does not take place then i would think that i would be easier to dress the body with out the cast.
plus how odd would it look in an open coffin funneral with the body with cast on??

probably, if there is an open coffin the mortician will want to make them look as good as possible. If they are to be cremated, the cast won't matter so it is burned along with the remains.

Generally, yes. But it really depends on the wishes of the immediate family or the next of kin. There are no rules that govern this situation, it's just what the family requests.
