Lebron James for the sheet fact of what he has done. The Cavs started from scratch and in a few years at the age of 22 Lebron has taken them to the finals. I mean minus Lebron and the Cavs are just another lottery team. With Lebron they made it to the finals. I think that is evidence enough to prove the power that this one man can bring to a single organization. Lebron would be even better as time went on and with the surplus of cash that the team would get it would make way for the signing of more players. Lebron James hands down, cause he's already proven it.

Steve Nash because he can do everything. He is an excellent passer, can penetrate to the basket, the best free throw shooter in the nba, can shoot 3's efficently, and is not a person that will bring down your team. He makes plays and makes the players around him better. If your not concerned with attitudes and just want a guy that straight up can dominate and make your team good w/ the worse players, then it would have to be Kobe Bryant.

About five years ago I would have said Tim Duncan, no contest...but he's getting old and in building a franchise I think you gotta' go with the youth. Right now, Dwight Howard, mainly because he's so young. He's a good shot blocker and he finishes around the basket the way he should...but ask me this question next year and I'll say Greg Oden. He's gonna' be the next great one.

Kobe Bryant.... its like building a team around Michael Jordan.
He is a SG... he can bring up the ball, he can handle the ball, he can pass, he can rebound, he is a great defender and he he can steal, he can take over games, he has that killer instinct, he is a pure scorer and he can shut down the opponents and he is the best in the league ever since JOrdan retired. He can make those game winning shots and he can single handedly break down the opposing teams.
HE needs an all star PF who can handle the ball... some1 like a HEALTHY Lamar Odom, he needs a 3 pt shooter, he needs a mediocore center, medicore PG and a good rebounder.

Tim Duncan because he is Mr. Fundamental. He is solid, unselfish and has experience on his side. He can help younger and older players alike and isn't a whiney crybaby or over-hyped troublemaker like other superstars in the league. For building a franchise, its Duncan because, even though he isn't the youngest player, he is so solid that he will help your team be fundamentally great for years after he has retired!

Dwyane Wade. The Heat would've gone straight to the finals this year if Wade was completely healthy. He is consistent, has talent, and amazes everybody. If the rest of the team performed badly, he wouldn't just be the ball hog and play by himself, like Kobe, but he find the strengths of everybody, taking out their weaknesses, and plays with his team. Wade is a smart player, and that's what a team needs.

Kobe Bryant. It really doesn't matter how bad your team sucks, this guy can make you a contender...as he has proved the last two years.
