It was actually just one of those freak of nature things. You built that eco-friendly house in the hillside and when it snowed last January he wasn't aware that it changed from terrain to roof so he just wandered out there. It was pretty funny to watch him "skating" but even better when he fell off into that big drift. Too bad you had to dig the walkway out again, though....

That’s easy. He put his ice-skates in his feet, climbed on your roof and skated. How else?
P.S.: Maybe he climbed there first and then put his ice-skates.
