The Chairman of the Arkansas Republican Party, Dennis Milligan, said "All we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on 9-11..." Do you agree? Is this the official position of the Republican Party? What benefit does the Republican Party expect from more terrorist attacks? How would the "press" have treated this story if a Democrat had said it?

Zebrafarts, google the story, there are DOZENS of sources. Why doesn't the "press" pay attention? Because its the cheering section for the Republican Party, owned lock, stock, & barrell--obedient little lap dogs of their wealthy Republican masters.

Amazing that this wack-job hasn't received national attention.

Geez, Jimmy Carter makes an offhand (true) statement about Bush and his legacy, and is still taking heat from it several weeks later.

Some nutjob says we need to be attacked more and nobody is paying attention.

Damn left-wing liberal media.............

Just another reason to lock up all cons in GITMO!!

In his first interview as the chairman of the Arkansas Republican Party, Dennis Milligan told a reporter that America needs to be attacked by terrorists so that people will appreciate the work that President Bush has done to protect the country.

"At the end of the day, I believe fully the president is doing the right thing, and I think all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on [Sept. 11, 2001]," Milligan said to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, "and the naysayers will come around very quickly to appreciate not only the commitment for President Bush, but the sacrifice that has been made by men and women to protect this country."

Milligan, who was elected as the new chair of the Arkansas Republican Party just two weeks ago, also told the newspaper that he is "150 percent" behind Bush in the war in Iraq.

are you dizzy? because you just spun the hell out of those remarks!

its probably not your fault, but try to read or research stuff before you cut and paste it from moveon.org, or thinkprogress.com, or whatever propaganda mill you get this stuff from.

he said (in the complete quote, conveniently cut short):

“At the end of the day, I believe fully the president is doing the right thing, and I think all we need is some attacks on American soil like we had on [September 11], and the naysayers will come around very quickly to appreciate not only the commitment for President Bush, but the sacrifice that has been made by men and women to protect this country.”

meaning that the media wants you to forget the dangers of our situation to make it easier to suggest that the president is doing nothing about national security, and the only thing that would get through what the media is feeding you will be a catastrophe.

Funny I live in Arkansas and if this were true, I am sure our media would have it playing 24/7/365. If you have a link, post it, if not delete this question as BS.

The Press probably would have covered it more had it been said by someone that people outside of Arkansas had ever heard of. I doubt a lot of people INSIDE Arkansas know who this guy is.

Pretty obvious attempt on your part to bash conservatives, by trying to spin a few words from Chairman Millligan's statement into something entirely different from what he actually said.

Of course I don't agree that the US needs more terror attacks. But the Republican party is likely to get more votes since they portray themselves as the only ones who are tough on terrorism.

That is not what is meant by the idiom "All we need..".

Grow up.
