what is wrong with the people running the state of Georgia, do they actually believe a MINOR should be in prison for 10 years for consensual relations with another minor, they may have amended the law since, but the fact they plan on re pursuing this horrifying miscarraige of justice shows they are completely out of control

Wilson's defense lawyers were ecstatic as the ruling came in. But lawyer B.J. Bernstein later announced that the attorney general's office had filed notice of appeal, which she believes it meant to put a stop to Wilson's immediate release.
She said she plans to look into filing a bond to release him while the appeal is pending.
"It is extremely, extremely disturbing that the attorney general would take this action now," she said. "In essence the attorney general is saying, 'Keep Genarlow Wilson in prison for 10 years and keep him on the sex offender registry.'"

agreed. this is completely stupid. A minor should be allowed to have sex with another minor if its consenual. there in the same age group. Two years difference and that equals 10 years in jail. I can't believe the attorney general is wasting georgia tax dollars to appeal this case when Genarlow wasn't a harm to himself or society. this attorney general should not be re elected and should be fired. this is a complety herroudous case that shows a lack of justice in our justice system.

This was a crime in Georgia. You cannot have sex with a 15 year old be it consensual or not. Did you see the video. Him and his thug buddies sitting around high on dope.
