What are some movies that deal with rape victims?

I really haven't seen any but the color purple. Anyones you can think of? I am trying to show these films with realistic situations and I'm sure the plot tells women how to go about this. I haven't been raped. lol. but I need it for a women's group I have formed. Thanks for your help.

A movie came out in the 80's called "I Spit On Your Grave", about a girl that gets gang raped, and how she sets out to get revenge on each of her attackers.

I've never seen the movie but from reading the reports and stuff I hear that it's a fairly gruesome movie. Maybe not for a "woman's group"........

There is this one realy affecting one that has Jodie Foster in it, but I'm so sorry, I can't think of the name of the movie. The basic plot was that her character went into this bar, and proceeded to get very drunk, and she was dressed sexily and was flirting with the guys in the bar. She went to play pinball, and these guys gang raped her. The whole premise of the movie was that even though she was intoxicated and dressed up and was flirting, she did not ask to be raped. I'm sure some others here might know the name of the movie. It was really affecting to me. Hope this helps. ("The Accused" - that's it! Bring your kleenex. You'll find plenty of people who think she deserved to be raped because of her intoxication and dress and the flirting, but in MY opinion, NO ONE is *asking for it*! to be raped, no matter WHAT.

Eye for an Eye (with Sally Field and Keifer Sutherland in it) is a great movie. The poor rape victim was murdered in the film by Keifers character but the mother is the one left to deal with the aftermath.

there are also several degrassi episodes dealing with rape. everything from the flirtation, to the rape, to the trail.

kelly mcgillis was in one in the 80's...i find movies like that disturbing, and hard to watch. But this one is based on her real rape story, and she was also in the accused, where she was raped at a bar...disturbing scene
