Lol, yeah I remember that during the celebration of the Pistons-Cavaliers series, but I don't think he had how bad the eastern conference sucks on his mind at the time.

A prophecy is a divine prediction of future events by a human prohpet.

The Cavs do represent the Eastern Conference in the NBA Finals. They won the Eastern Conference, I dont see the question here. Did he call them a team of destiny? I do not recall Bill Russell 'prophizing' any future events for the Cavaliers. I recall him wishing them luck that they might win the Finals.

Hey, could you provide a link to the Bill Russell quote you're using?

Anyway, I think just about any Eastern Conference team would have acted the same way in the Finals against any dominant Western Conference team. Let's face it...the West was just better this season.

Remember last year when Dallas was up 2-0 and everyone was just ready to hand them the championship, but Miami won 4 straight. You never can be too sure.
