If it's a Windows machine, and you are operating in Microsoft Works/Word or Wordperfect (or another common word processor), the underline "key" is a combination:
Hold down Ctrl and press U. Referred to as Ctrl-U.

Underline____ for this type of result use the key next to the `0' (zero) numerical with the shift key held down.. if however you want to underline a word.. you cannot do it directly, unless the program supports underlining.. like in `word', highlight the word and hold down `ctrl and `U' key together.. this same combination is also supported by some other programs too.. Hope this helps

If you're using a forum or a word editor similar to Microsoft Words, pressing Ctrl+U simultaneously or manually pressing the underline button with your mouse will enable the underline function. After enabling it, do your typing as usual and watch as underlined words appear. Also, highlighting the text you want to underline and then pressing the icon or Ctrl+U will also achieve the same result.
To disable underlining, just press the button again or press Ctrl+U again.
I hope you're not talking about the underscore.

The underline key?? Do you mean the underscore key? If you do, it's right next to the "0" key at the top.
Not sure though...
If you want to underline something, use CTRL and+ U key!

There isnt a Key that underlines anything. That is a function of what ever word processor software you are writing in. Same as if you wanted to type in bold.
