If you have Windows XP, Disk Cleanup is found by clicking on Start, Programs, Accessories, System Tools and Disk Cleanup. Let it run and remove everything it finds.

Disk defragging can be done much quicker than Windows' version by downloading and installing a handy tool called Auslogics Disk Defragger.

If you prefer to use Windows, while in System Tools, you'll see Disk Defragmenter. Depending on the size of your hard disk, it can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or more. That's why I prefer to use Auslogics. I have a big hard disk and it defrags in about 20 minutes or less.

In Windows XP, go to:

Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools .

P.S. a great (free) app for cleanups is CCleaner. Download it at http://www.ccleaner.com/ . Works really well!
