I left the UK 5 years ago and I get really homesick, but after reading the news headlines today I don't ever want to go back.

Ok, the "geek" above scares me...a lot...

As to the question..BINGO! You hit the nail on the head.
Honor killings are never honorable. They are despicable, evil, repugnant acts that should be met by the full force of society's justice.

In a perfect world, there would be no need to hide the body. To the contrary, the body would be displayed as a deterrant to others thinking of committing the same crime. However, when the honour killings are not upheld by the justice system of the overall country, then one has to take precautions as to not reveal their own identity.

Back during European medieval times, the executioner wore a black mask to hide their identity, even though the execution was totally sanctioned by the State. This was to protect his identity from those who might want to retaliate or, more commonly, from those who simply would feel uncomfortable dealing with a man who had knowingly taken so many lives.

The point of honour killings is to make a statement with the death, not undermine it with bickering afterward.

They are just trying to use the fact that their laws are different in their country to try to get away with murder.

This is a sick crime and the pigs that did it need something doing to them which I cannot describe on here as my answer would be deleted.

They need to realise that if they are going to live in the Uk then they need to abide by Uk Laws, all to often they try to get away with these type of crimes and claim that it is honourable to do so but I just cannot see where the honour is in butchering some poor young girl... The man does not deserve to have children...

where is the honour in killing someone, these murderers are the scum of the earth. Of course they've done something wrong and hiding the body shows this too.

I think its because they will get punished if caught. Its a dilema of traditional values and modern law. It probably doent help that we have been fed such blockbuster movies as the Godfather, which made it look acceptable. Think we have to mentally differentient between between fact and fact based fiction which has overlapped for the sensation seeker.

Honour killings - just one of the many ways Muslims help "diversify" the UK, eh?

In the inbreeding culture that exists in parts of the muslim world (including parts of London apparently) these things happen if women dare to look outside the extended family for a mate.

They know they've done wrong legally but morally they believe they're justified. It's as simple as that.
