My friend is 16 years of age and she is verbally abused by her dad everyday at home. She feels as if he treats her and everyone else in the house including her siblings(brothers&sisters) as slaves. She gets the worst out of the house though because its as if her dad treats her the worse and gives her the most trouble. She already goes to consueling and she feels as if its not helping because she is still upset alot and frustrated, depressed. She knows she defenatly wants to get emancipated im just trying to be a good friend and find out if shes eligable and what she has to do to get out of this mess.

It's alot harder said than done. I've been there, seen it. It's not easy. When your 17, then your talking. Also check the state laws as every state is different. I Iive in PA which is pretty lienant and still had no luck. BTW, this wasnt for me, it was trying to help someone else out.
