I know it's not possible to make out faces but have you identified yourself in other ways?

No but my car (presumably with me in it) is half way on my drive. I wonder where I was going?

True Story:

When I first "zoomed in" on my house, I saw an unknown black vehicle parked in front, on the street. The first thing I thought was that my wife was having an affair. After the initial shock I finally figured out who the vehicle belonged to (a female friend of the family), and was very relieved.

Bottom line: you don't need to see faces to gain a whole LOT of information from a photograph.

Another good one:
We were at my sis-in-law's house and I was showing wife and her sister Google Earth (for the first time). By coincidence their pickup truck was parked in the exact position it had been when the satellite photo was taken (years?) before, and the rest of the block seemed identical 'now' as it was 'then'. It took me a long time to convince them that the satellite hadn't just passed overhead. They were 'freaking out' about spy satellites overhead after that.

I have, I sat outside my house for a whole day during the summer. I had a portable tv and a BBQ grill. I checked google the next day and I was there!

Seems it updates every 24 hours or so.

I found my house on it, but it showed that I still had a swimming pool so the satellite image is not current. I got rid of my pool 5 years ago

google earth pictures are usually taken around the summer on a clear day...so if you stand outside right now and wait a couple of days you might just might get on.

I found where I live, and it - Google Earth - showed my garden with a lawn.
I concreted my garden years ago. So they are not very recent images.
