It really depends on the type of sensor. You CAN buy the tools on ebay but make sure there are no sensors in those either (the gator tag removers have them). Some you can break or burn (for the tags with the round side and the ink on the other side, if you don't have a tool you can use a lighter to melt the small round end until a screw pops out. Then you should turn it upside dwn and jiggle it until it comes free. If this doesn't work try taking the screw all the way out), the rest you will have to cut around or rip off.. Don't mess with the ones that make noise.

The best way would probably be to actually buy the clothes and have a sales associate do it for you at the register.

:D

If you are actually an honest person who somehow got home with the sensors still on, go back to the store with your receipt and they'll take it off.

If you're a wannabe shoplifter then... good luck. May you get dye everywhere or gigantic rips and holes in your merchandise :)

Buy the tool from a friend who works at a department store or buy one off the Internet! ;-) this is how it's done by professionals ... take them to changing room take off the sensors then put them on under your clothes.

It depends which kind of sensors the store has. Some store has cheap ones that will just easily come apart and some contains dye in it. I've heard that for the easier ones, just keep twisting them or pulling them apart.

...is it that expensive??

Just a wild guess but I would pay for them and then the sales clerk will take the sensor off. Or you can steal it and end up like Wynona Ryder.

hot topic does that crap sometimes - it's soo annoying.
they left one on a pair of sunglasses && they also left one on a from first to last shirt i bought there.
i actually had to take them back to the store so they could remove them... they have a little thing to do it - something i doubt you have, so you can't really do it yourself unless you're okay with ruining your clothes.

There is no best way, only to actually buy the item without stealing it, and have the cashier take it off.

If you intend to steal it remember this, you are causing the tax payer money, and you are the reason that clothes and many items cost more and more each year, because they are stealing it and manufactures are loosing money.
