My wife and I are in a debate about wether or not someone can ruin furniture by constantly farting in it. I know this is an odd question but I am starting to wonder if you really can. Please help us.

Farting will not ruin furniture. But the fart will slowly stain the furniture. This stain is hard to see and can be clean off as long as you clean your furniture once a week.

This may sound gross, but if they have a wet fart, it can leave a smell on the sofa for a very long time. I know this because I did it to my brothers stuffed animal and it smelled for over two weeks. He tried washing it three different times, and nothing helped. If you are concerned about this person have them sit on a wooden chair and use a clorox wipe after they leave!

trust me, if that was possible my husband and I would have been sitting on the floor for years - the man farts constantly, loudly and fouly. Invest in some Febreeze, and don't worry!

Just don't smoke on the couch when you fart - fire can definately ruin furniture

I think Febreeze would fix any problem you have. If there is a shart laid on that chair though...well, then you will have some problems.
