If your camp is in a very woody area, you will be happy for those crew socks when the mosquitoes come out. Plus if you pair the socks with shorts and a T-shirt you will look fine.

I think it depends what kind of camp you go to. If you're more comfortable with crews, I say where them. But if it's going to be really hot, or you're going to be outdoors, no shows might be more convenient. a lot of times those little spiky things and bugs and leaves get stuck to socks, so crews would be a lot easier to get stuff stuck all over them...but they could also be protecting your legs from scratches...
basically it's up to you...just go with what you prefer, dont worry about what other people are thinking!
