At work, my job sometimes requires that I act like a bit of an ahole. It doesn't mean I like the people any less but I'm in charge of making sure they get certain things done a certain way. I usually try to do it in a humorous way but if that doesn't work then I go into ahole mode.

Other jobs I've had would cause me to act differently than normal simply because I'm there to make money, not friends. If I have a friend working at the same place, there is no way I'm going to start clowning around and put my job at risk.

I think most people are the same way depending on where they are...you can be a son, a father, a boss, a worker, and a friend but it's hard to be all of those at the same time.

A lot of people are liked that. Split personalities I guess. To them, work and personal life are two separate things. They do not mix them. So you just have to deal with her professionally when it comes to work. After work, you are freed to hang out etc but I guess it is much better if you draw a clear line as well.

I'd try to stay away from her since she has mood problems. :)
