I have a metal exterior door and the magnetic weather strip seams to be coming off on the lower end of the door. Can I replace this strip with a new one or is there some kind of better easier strip not magnetic that I can use?

I really doubt that the weather stripping is magnetic. If the weather stripping is still in good shape you could try to use something adhesive to keep it held on.

If the weather stripping is coming off, it is probably a good idea to replace it anyhow because it is probably old and not sealing as good as hit should anyhow. Most weather stripping from what I recall is just peal and stick weather stripping. So take a piece of your weatherstripping into the local hardware store and match it up. Then you can just use your old weather stripping as a template and cut the pieces so they are the same size and it should fit perfectly.

you in simple terms desire a speedy restoration now. right this is what you do. go %. up a roll of a million/2" huge x a million/2' thick FOAM weatherstripping. It has a sticky decrease back (as quickly as you get rid of the paper). the belief right it relatively is to place the weatherstripping on the DOOR, no longer the jamb (casing) because of the fact the door remains intact and delivers you a gentle floor. positioned only adequate weatherstripping on the very fringe of the door (dealing with the broken casing) to cover the spot the place the casing is busted. in case you like 2 layers on suitable of one yet another, it relatively is okay too. deploy on your complete door if needed. that should offer up your leak for now until a extra everlasting restoration could nicely be afforded later. good luck!
