As an engineer, I don't see the glass as 1/2 full or 1/2 empty. I know the glass is just too big. If you are bothered by this glass thing, get the waitress to bring you another with the beverage of your choice. I sometimes order 2 drinks when faced with a weighty decision such as this.

Why must you say it's half empty?

The perspective depends on if you are drinking, or pouring.
On if you are a customer, or a waitress.........
It could be half full!

And I would fill it with what ever you are drinking......some beverages just don't mix.
