What is so great about America?
Why everything.
I have travelled the country quite extensively and visited many wonderful places - both natural and man made.
The thing is; every country in the world has beautiful beaches, mountains, rivers, forests, desertscapes etc.
Thriving and exciting cities are to be found all over the globe.
So to answer your question; America is great to me because of how it makes me feel when I'm there ~~
How at home I feel to look upon Mt Rushmore,
How comfortable I'm walking through Abe's home in Springfield,
How at peace I am in Yellowstone National Park,
How right I feel on Galveston Island,
How insignificant I feel in the Rockys,
How in awe I feel looking into the Grand Canyon.
What is so great about America? - Being There.

America is a great country that was founded and built by immigrants from around the world. It truly is a melting pot. We are blessed to have freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and the ability to live our lives as we choose. If you take a look at other countries around the world, you will find that there are millions of people who are opressed, underfed & undernourished, few have the luck of going to school or getting any kind of education and disease is widespread. We, as Americans, need to stop & think about how fortunate & how blessed we are to live in this beautiful country, where we have so many opportunities & freedoms. I agree that we really are a beautiful country with great beaches, scenic mountains, solitude desserts, and a lot of resorts & fun playgrounds. God Bless America.

I also love the mountains here in North Carolina, great water falls and beautiful Outer Banks.

im english and have visited the states twice i love the people and the way of life. the scenery in many parts is also very beautiful.
