If you say "ngiger" to a black person with whom you are angry, it is assumed that you are generally racist towards all black people. However, if you get mad at a woman and call her a "btich", people seem to understand that you are only directing your insult at that individual woman.
Sometimes people get angry and say hurtful things for the sake of being hurtful. It is almost always forgiven unless the word "ngiger" is used to produce the hurt.
Is that fair?

stm: I think you have missed the point of my question. N is clearly more inflamatory than B is. You are not going to here N used on TV in a negative way in the cavalier way you here B. As a nation we are far more reluctant to use N. That somehow seems to be a double standard.

Tac: You are too sensitive. Redskin is actually meant to be a compliment. Football teams don't name themselves after cowards or weaklings. I think everyone (blacks, women, native americans, etc.) should lighten up. THese are all just words. They only hurt you if you are silly enough to care.
Honkey and cracker certainly don't cause me to lose any sleep.
