I bought some goldifish they were all orange except for one it had a little bit of black on it. well now the black is on a few of the others and has spread all over this ones head. what is it and what do i treat them with?! also hes been a little tipsy too!

i do not keep my fish in a small bowl there in a 38 gallon tank!

Most likely what you are seeing is the healing process from ammonia burns and rough handling when they were shipped to the store. Check your ammonia and nitrites to be sure they are safe and if not do water changes to correct the problem.

Your fish probably has Melanophore Migration. It occurs when with any type of chemical irratant. Check your water and make sure the chemicals (ph, ammonia) are okay. It can also be caused by different parasites--which your orginal fish could have passed on to your other fish. Check out my source for more information and ways to make your fish better.

Sounds like Ammonia poisoning.Burning, This is probibly because you keep them in a small bowl when they really need 240 litres each
