I'm 13. I really love to watch cooking shows and (if my mom would let me) would like to tyr to do what they do and make the resipes they do and i want to b come a chef when i get older. What should i do now to get started in the cooking world and r there cooking colleges or schools for kids my age?? anyotehr tips??

Since you are a little too young to work in the industry I would take this time to study the science of food, Why foods do what they do when you cook them. Forget all the television shows (if racheal ray is the person you look up too, i feel sorry ya) that's not the real world. When you get a little older read Kitchen Confidential by Anthony Bourdain.. Then when your 15 or 16 I suggest working in kitchens until your 21 then w/ 5 years of experience go to Culinary School.
But I would take this time to study and read... There is all kinds of books that are helpful. This profession is not for everybody...But if it is something that you truly love...good luck!

Thats really weird because Im 13 too and I love to cook. I do all the same things that you do, and I want to become a chef when I am older.

Look at a college near you and see what courses they have. I don't know about courses for your age group, but certainly, cook for your family and friends.
My daughter is very interested in cooking as a career. But she's thinking of becoming a cookery teacher.

Cook for your family. Write down your favorite recipies. Watch cooking shows. Read cook books. etc.

You should practice cooking and watch cooking shows like Rachel Ray.
