It doesn't matter to me. If it is an impostor performing now, I like him better. According to most rumors, Paul McCartney died in 1966 and replaced with an impostor. Although I like most of Paul McCartney's material, I prefer his stuff after 1966. So, if he is an impostor, he is the same impostor that created Sgt. Pepper and Abbey Road which are two of my favorites. I saw Paul McCartney perform in 1990 and he did much Beatle material and you know something that is odd, all the Beatle songs that he performed that were before 1966 didn't sound much like the original recordings, but all the Beatle material that he did after 1966, sounded close to the way the Beatles did them. Hmm? If indeed there was an impostor that joined the Beatles in 1966, the "Paul McCartney" performing now would be the impostor, therefore, it would be easier for him to perform songs after 1966 than trying to match the real Paul McCartney before 1966. Makes a mind ponder, doesn't it?

Well, if the rumours are true, and Paul died in the 60s and was replaced by an imposter, then Paul gave that guy all his talent as well as his face. I have "Paul's" new album, and it's great. Of course, I find it hard to believe that an imposter would be able to rack up as many hits as this guy has done, and even be knighted.
So, to answer your question, if he's dead, he's the most talented corpse I've ever seen in concert.
