I went to a Soprano's party at a friends house, we all had a Italian dinner and hardly anyone spoke a word when the show came on. When the screen went blank, everyone freaked because we all thought the signal had been lost. Nervously, I was throwing pillows and blankets in the air looking for the remote because someone must have accidently hit the power button or something. When it was finally realized that this is how the show really ended, to say we were all pissed wasn't the word for it. What a #$@%...let down. I know David Chase is known for doing the unexpected but how the show ended is not fair to his dedicated, loyal fans. We deserved better then that. Soprano fans made superstars out of all the actors, David Chase became one of the most respected writers/directors etc... on television, HBO/the producers/the actors etc...became filthy rich. Why? because of the fans, and how do they reward us? Right at the end when things are about to climax, at the moment of truth, they kicked us right in the privates! I can take a thousand cold showers and never get rid of this feeling that the show needed to climax, get the idea? OK, maybe, just maybe there is some hope. There's always clues in the show as to what is going to happen next. The last song they played was Journey's "Don't Stop Believing." Why that song? Out of the millions of possible songs, Why that song? The song goes, "Don't stop believing, hold onto that feeling....." Is this Chase's freaky way of telling us that it's not over?

I just finished watching it 15 minutes ago....well, my cable seems to be fine, which leads me to wonder: What the piss was that!? They were all happy around the table, perfect moment for ol' boy to come charging out of the restroom, gun blazing, daughter witnessing it all (morbid, I know, but what else do you expect from a mob show? I only pray no one has to really go thru that). Wow, that was a silly ending....and Im not laughing.

i couldnt agree with u more..i followed this show since it started..i dont know how such a great put together show could end the way it did..i felt as if i waited so long for nothing..now with the open ending i guess they were going for we all have to guess what happens next and that sux..they could of gave the audience alot more than that...i was so disappointed.

And the song "You Keep Me Hanging On" by Vanilla Fudge had meaning. Was that David's message to the viewers, or how we would feel towards the end of this episode?

At first I thought my cable went out!!! Then the credits started rolling... what??? that's it???!!
I figure they are leaving it open for a movie or to have another 4-6 episodes after a long hiatus

For all our loyalty (the kind of loyalty Tony could have used every once and awhile) We were owed a satisfying ending, Or at least a conclusive one.

It needed more closure. It needed killing to make up for the last episode. One to the head for phil was not enough. I wanted some blood shed.
