I used to be VERY VERY liberal. Then I realized that I was just doing the same thing the extreme conservatives were doing: ignoring the opposing view point.
Since then I've started taking notes when it comes to alternative views and that's why I have mixed views. I believe that people like you and ultra conservatives are the main problem with the country right now. Mainly because you seem to be the kind of person who would never give a conservative the benefit of the doubt. Also, even though I don't like Bush I know he's not a racist and that he doesn't have some plan or "political agenda". People like YOU are the ones that make me worry about the political situation in this country.

I dont have a label. My views fall all over the place. I like to think along the lines of common sense.
I'm pro-choice.
Against gun control.
Anti-death penalty.
Gay marriage I dont personally care about. I think if they want to get married, its none of my damn business. And I think it should be up to individual churches, not the government. And I think as long as they have equal rights to married straight people, thats good enough.
Anti-patriot act.
Anti IRS.
Pro legalization of marijuana and regulation of hard drugs.
For the separation of church and state.
Deporting millions of people is just silly and unrealistic. I think theres another way this can be done, but the borders do have to be secured alot better.
Dont love Clinton or hate Bush. I think that kind of thing just encourages knee-jerk partisan hackery, which we could use a lot less of.

Emotion is a product of chemicals in the body causing reactions that can overwhelm the ability to think.
Wisdom comes from experience.
It has been CORRECTLY stated that anyone who is young and conservative doesn't have a heart. And anyone who is mature and liberal doesn't have a brain.
I say, making decisions based on chemicals and raging hormones is less wise than using your brain and thinking through a problem to come up with a sensible solution.

Most that I am acquainted with are liberal. These are the first generation, in essence, that have no memory of communism, and the pain liberal policies have cost the world (in all various forms). It would follow that lacking that knowledge, and with little memory of leadership other than Clinton, that these would be heavily weighted liberal.
I am too old to be a liberal.

i grew to become into a perfect programmed and indoctrinated liberal while i grew to become into in school additionally. as quickly as I have been given out into the actual international and observed fact, and observed how hypocritical and fake liberals available are, I nonetheless had adequate unindoctrinated innovations cells left to initiate asking questions like: >If a woman is relatively training "reproductive decision" alongside with the accountability* which fits with the privelege of having a call, then why does she have an "undesirable" toddler, and why could that toddler be carried out for what the girl has performed? >If public provider (ie government) is nice and private organisation is evil, why is there lots corruption and greed in the government, and maximum of firms helping charities and helping out in organic failures and such? >If journalism is the pursuit of reality (i grew to become right into a journalism important), then why is there the type of slant to what's asserted? i in my view observed thoughts squelched because of fact they made people who weren't politically nicely suited seem good. >If socialism is the type of excellent theory, and the only "trustworthy" financial equipment, the place in hell did Stalin come from? WHy grew to become into the Soviet Union the type of terrible place with ecological messes everywhere and workers residing in misery? >How is it in the pastime of freedom to squelch one point of view (human beings of religion) from the favourite public communicate board mutually as permitting all others? How is praying in school "installation" a faith whether it extremely is carried out voluntarily? i'm being superb here in view which you're youthful and naive, and that i grew to become into as quickly as on your shoes, yet i desire you have adequate of a innovations left to truly question the ideals that the indoctrinators have put in on your head and are available to a pair relatively concept-out conclusions. As Winston Churchill as quickly as stated:" in case you're no longer a liberal once you're twenty, you do not have any heart. once you're nonetheless a liberal once you're 40, you do not have any innovations."
