Is your question about stalling and a motor misfire? I will assume so. These are pretty simple fuel injection units. Either you have a 4.3L, 5.0L or a 5.7L motor. It helps to know for next time. These are all pretty much the same thing. The first thing to do is check all of the secondary ignition components. Remove the air cleaner for access. Now one by one, remove and inspect every spark plug wire and coil wire that connects onto the dist. cap or the coil tower. You are looking for corrosion mainly, but split insulation or anything else other than rubber and clean metal is no good. Replace as necessary and it is a good idea to replace as a set. If the coil tower is corroded, it also needs to be replaced as the corrossion will be down inside also. Replace dist. cap and rotor if there is corrosion evident. While inside the dist. area, grab hold of the dist. shaft and see if you can wiggle it around. If you can the dist's bushings are worn out and you will need a new distributor assembly or a rebuilt one. Remove all spark plug wires from the plugs and do the same inspection and replace as nec. Remove all the spark plugs and inpsect for worn out, oil fouled, carbon tracks or broken insulators. Replace and / or repair as nec. If you find nothing in all of this, have a good look at the internals of the dist. when you have the cap off. Look for corrosion or a green type of mold on the connectors of the module and pick-up coil. If it is evident, replace all parts with this crap on them. If all this checks good, get the codes from the PCM extracted and follow these through for these codes are hints at problems. You could also be having a problem with fuel delivery. Check or just replace the fuel filter. If you still have problems, you might be experiencing a pump about to go. Lots of stuff here, just go slow. Good luck.

First question. Is the MIL on? (that's the verify engine gentle) whether it incredibly is, have it scanned. although curiously like your catalytic convertor is plugged. basically changing it is going to restoration it for purely a quick time, you would be able to desire to discover the reason it went undesirable in the 1st place that's the place an entire diagnostic test is substantial.
