I THINK IT IS IF THEY HAVE A STATEMENT FROM YOUR FRIEND'S MOM SAYING THAT YOU WERE JUST DROPPING OFF HER PRESCRIPTION B/C SHE LEFT IT IN YOUR CAR.

Sounds like you need to read the paperwork you received in court. You probably accepted a plea agreement rather than having a trial and that's why you now "serving your time".
Finish up your sentence and then try asking the court if you can withdraw your guilty plea and expunge your record. If you were a minor at the time of your arrest, this might be possible.
But you will probably need to show some remorse over the whole thing--nobody is buying your "dropped her prescription" story.

How did you friend's mom end up in your car in the first place and why didn't you just get the prescription back to her when you found out? It really sucks what you're going through but I'm not sure what you can do about it since there is no way to prove what really went on. It is wrong if you haven't had a fair trial. Sorry hon... Good luck though!!

Without all the details, we cannot call it accurately. And of course from what little you gave us, that seems unfair. But all I can say on this is that you cannot really question the goodness of your father & on who he gives favors to. All you have to worry about is being a good son or daughter to your parents. Maintain a healthy relationship with them & love them. And who knows he might have already given his entire estate to you on his last will & testament. So that is probably why you aren't getting anything yet for you will have everything when he passes away. Or that he has a plan to give you many things when you reach a certain age or maturity. Stop second-guessing your dad & commit to open communications & a nice relationship with him, so that one day you may be able to ask him all these questions in a nice, relaxed, mature & non-confrontational, unforced, natural, non-emotional manner. And maybe one day he will be able to explain all that to you. For in reality if you really do not know why he is doing that, then only he knows why.

Don't screw around with this. Pay for a decent lawyer and get a statement from derelict mom and play hard ball. Things like this can pop up for years when you try to get a job or other security oriented situations. Trust me Trust me trust me!!!!
You will pay much more in the long run than you will on a good lawyer now. Serious man get this fixed fast! Go into hock if you have to. Then if she cops to it sue the crap out of her for your time and trouble and the costs of your court case, expenses and lawyers. Just do it! Its her damn fault anyway!

I'm assuming that rather than keep you in jail until your trial, the court has ordered you to stay in your home. They must have enough reasonable grounds for this, perhaps something you've left out. If you'd prefer, I'm sure you could speak with the judge and he'd be happy to send you to prison until your case comes up.

Do you have any type of a criminal past? If so, that could play a part in their choice of punishment. Or they could be making an example out of you. But nonetheless, if that's your first offense ever, then I would say it's a bit over the top.

Given what you say here, it seems fairly harsh. Have you spoken with an attorney? You can check with your local Bar Association to try and find someone who might help on a pro bono (free) basis.
