If I were you I wouldn't stop writing. And, more important, i wouldn't tell anybody the plot of my book because they could write it and then take all the credit for themselves. So I recommend you to delete the question (if that's possible), unless maybe you want to win some money from sewing someone...
P.S.: I'll be a witness if u pay me. :D

Even great stories can become a challenge to work on. It sounds like it will be a really great story if you do finish it, but if you're having doubts there are many things you can try.

- Don't worry about word count. If you're not sure you should continue because you aren't sure you can make the word count necessary to publish it as a feature-length novel, don't worry about it. Just write the story and when it feels finished, take a look at it. You can publish fiction at any length. While "full-length" fiction does sell better, you have plenty of options with contests and anthologies to get your work printed.

- If you're stuck on the plot or other parts of the story, forget about those parts and just write what you know. If what you don't know is a tree stump in a yard, write up to the stump. Write all the way around it, up to the mushrooms and moss that covers the roots. Later you can go back and do more research.

- If you're worried it won't be any good, write it anyway. If you enjoy writing, write away. Don't worry about it being good or your mom liking it or your cousin wanting to turn it into a home movie. Write because you love it and you have ideas to share with the world.

However, if it isn't fun anymore, don't force yourself to write it. Set it aside and come back later. I recently went back to some stories I started two summers ago and am just now finally finding the energy and extra research to continue with them.

Have fun!

People who use phrases like "stop at nothing" should not write books. What does that mean, anyway? Will they "stop at something?" Will they stop at a stop sign?

You seem more enamoured by your gimmick than actual storytelling. Unfortunately, your futuristic government conspiracy gimmick has been done to death, so unless you have some amazing storytelling technique (which is completely not obvious from your jumbled question) then I'd suggest maybe reading some more before jumping into writing.

I m not a fan of sci-fi, but this seems like a good story. this plot seems so awsome and i don't think i could have ever thought of this. I m also a fiction writer, but i have wanted to quit hundreds of times. I just kept thinking of the money i'll get when i publish, and i would do great

KEEP GOING!!! Like the others said...and delete the info,if possible...this sounds like a good book. If u ever need info on how to self-publish it, contact me and i can help u. Also, as an author, you have to learn how to believe in yourself and what you are writing...even if others don't! Always believe in your gift and your passion for it...We are all uniquely created and we may not understand each other's passions because they are different. Sometimes you have to encourage yourself...but in this case, it seems that many in Yahoo Answers are encouraging you...so, again, I say KEEP GOING!!!

Sounds like a great premise to me- why should you stop?

I'd really be interested in reading her reactions to being unable to die. Would she be permanently youthful? Would she age & eventually shrivel up like the prophetess in Greek mythology who eventually became little more than a talking ball? Wouldn't it be lonely to be the only one who couldn't die? That sounds like the makings of an interesting character to me.

Don't give up!

Sounds like a great idea for stories! I kind of like the plot. You should continue writing of course, it's your skill that you are able to write and think of such a story, others may not, do you understand?

Good luck with the story. Hope you continue writing it and it comes out fine.

Continue to write. Nothing wrong with coming up with a new twist to an old plot.

Why do you want to quit? Even if the story has been told before (which may not be the case), you can always tell it in your own way! Why this self-doubts?

wow, definitley keep writing! I would like to read it someday! I love writng myself, but looking at the way you describe your book, you have a lot of potential because you have a lot of knowledge about what you are writing about. This book is obviously going to compliment you as a writer. Please don't stop writing it!
