It depends on if you think intelligent thought and observation is racist. Stereotypes didn't come from nowhere. They came about because a large part of each stereotyped people really do have those traits.
That is not to say that every single Asian ever born can't drive or every single black ever born will commit a felony or that every single white ever born can't dance but when looked at as a whole a large part of people will fit into their stereotype.
The current trend is to deny reality and keep repeating, "We are all the same" but that just isn't so.
When someone is intelligent enough to recognize that reality they get labeled a racist to shut them up.
I am sure I will be labeled a racist for this reply but I prefer to live in reality rather than work for that pat on the head for blindly following the herd.
It is up to you rather you choose to follow slogans and buzz words or your own intellect and what is obvious.

I was told if you think its racists them it just might be. In this case IT IS!
The comments about Asians not being able to drive ... Well, from what I have seen ... there are a lot of people that cannot drive, race has nothing to do with it ... I can say that about myself too! Like a previous post stated... Ms. Universe is from Japan! Hispanics dirty? WOW, how do they know this? The Hispanic families I know are not only clean, but VERY clean, some of the kindest people I have met.
Making generalizations about people is unfair, just because one person in a race cannot drive doesn't make it so of everyone. Just because they have seem an Hispanic person dirty does not make them dirty...
Ask the 5, how they came to those conclusions and if they would share then face to face with one of the Asians and the Hispanics in your school, I bet the girls will not like the reactions they get!

These comments are absolutley racist, derrogatory and generalizing.. You cannot put people into categories of race, according to what others think! It's just plain dumb I hate to sound blunt but here goes ... Your friends are extremley ignorant!
And, if you don't stand up and tell them they are dead wrong you will end up like that with a very close minded view of the world, by trying to fit in, I too went to private school at one point in my life and the pressures there are maybe worse than in public schools , but they are more social , pressures , pressures to think, act ,walk, talk and be alike in every way!
If your "diverse" and like diversity, I would start feeding my mind more culture and information... to broaden my thoughts ... Example : your friends say Asians are bad drivers, LOL who is resonsible for the best seeling cars in the US Honda , and Toyota>?? Not to mention the most gasoline efficient earth friendly Hybrid out here!! The toyota Prius?
Hispanics are dirty>??? Some of the cleanest houses i've visited have been hispanics, Have you noticed most rich people have hispanic maids? So they are ok for that?
Some times it's a question of poverty, not uncleanliness....
And it really troubles me that you say "i don't like black guys"
We all have preferences in men and women, but to generalize by race IS racist and it's even more disturbing when it's YOUR own race, to me there is an underlying issue, and i would say try to get that resolved maybe counseling will help or you can ask your self why don't i like all black men? What is causing this?
I'm sorry if i sound aggressive it's just that i cannot fathom that in this day and age we still have situations like this around the globe that instead of advancing humanity into a wiser world view we continues to try and plaugue us with ignorance!

According to your examples, your friends are taking in cultural stereotypes. Though they may not be fully racist like the KKK, they can hold traits of a racist which is just as bad.
My personal thoughts are that your friends do not know a lot of people who are from various backgrounds so they are not able to comprehend them.
I'm from the Bay Area so I associate with people from different backgrounds. When I'm angry by a repeated mistake from a person of the same race, I usually put myself in their position rather than pointing out their mistakes because of their race. If they can't drive, maybe there's a reason for that; it isn't something genetic.
One famous stereotypes of white people is that most are rich and some that are wealthy - hello? There are still a lot of poor white people, not only people from different races are on welfare.

Yes, that is racist. How many Asians are there in this world? Well over a Billion. Can they literally all be ugly, bad driving, such and such-es? If not, saying they are all this and that is generalizing. Attributing one negative characteristic to over a Billion people based entirely on what race they are is racist.
Are all Hispanics dirty? Millions upon millions of people? Now I know that to be a blatant falsehood. I work at migrant even start and even the poorest Hispanics I know are very clean, keep themselves clean and their homes clean. Saying otherwise based solely on their race is: Racist.

I don't think that it's racist but more of a stereotype. Like Asians can't drive, Asians are all smart, all black people can play sports, black people can't swim, white people can't dance, all middle eastern people have a terrorist in their family. Even though it's not racist per say, it is still wrong to think that way.

It's not so much actual racism, per se, as it is stereotyping based on race. Stereotyping is more easily overcome than is base racism. Racism is something that comes from generations old values and issues that come from a different time, when the world worked a different way. Stereotyping, however can be overcome by an individual just by acting different that the stereotype calls for. It is a much easier cycle to break.
Hope this helps...

Wow. This is undoubtedly critical. People simply presume that your profile photograph is meant to to appear very similar to you. I understand precisely the way you believe. My drawback is vice versa, I use white profile photographs most often however I'm honestly black. They're both making use of realistic experience and aren't considering the fact that this alternative or are randomly guessing.

You better pull your head out of your *** and get some new friends. What in the hell do you think they say about black people when you're not around. I'm sure your name has even come up a couple of times.
You are a very confused person about your race and its history. If you don't start educating yourself and start developing some appreciation for who you are and your race these so called white friends will eventually rip your self esteem completely out of you.

they are just human. people will always genearlize often in a bad way.
for example I'd say asian + black people have very cute babies. thay would be a big generalization, but probably no one would care because it is a positive one.
also people get really defensive when they are called racist. don't attack them for being racist. help them address the behavior they are actually venting about. such as BAD DRIVERS not being only limited to ASIAN people.
