Here we go with my strange view of sex again.

Sex is a physical expression of an emotion. If the emotion is there, then it is definitely NOT a waste of time. If there is no emotion, then I would have to say yes, it is more trouble then it is worth. Unfortunately, as you can see by the other answers, it is seen as something to only be shared between spouses, which is normally when it becomes a routine or an "expectation" raher then an expression of an emotion. And yes, I am saying that love basically ends with a formal committment of any sort and becomes more of a given. Very similar to the fact that it is a given that a chair will allow you to sit in it.

What's it worth.? Hmm. At this moment it's a bit taboo to bring it up,, considering the three women I live with do not have access, and I ain't available. We all have prior commitments. So sex is either worth getting into very deep water over, or nothing. Depends. It can be worth your life, if it's illicit. It can be worth a lot of money if it's not done with a little discretion. Usually it's worth a friendship ring, with a diamond or two. It can be worth 50$ bucks in the back seat of the car. What's it worth? It's worth whatever it's gonna take.

Worth what? A sexual relationship is meant for a husband and wife ONLY. Two people of opposite sexes period. Any other combination is wrong and is differently not WORTH IT!

Now on the other hand a sexual relationship with your spouse under the agreement of marriage is what everyone is looking for. This is what all the hype is about. There is no other way sex can be satisfying that with your life long partner.

Sex is not more trouble than its worth if your getting it or doing it right. I would climb to the top of Mt Everest for a quicky w/my husband...so maybe I'm the wrong person to ask!!

Sure. There is an emotional investment that never seems to work in my favor, like Las Vegas odds. And unemotional sex is just demeaning and icky.

I think that sex between two people is the magic that keeps the relationship going. It's a special connection that you have with that person and no one else.

Depends. If you have safe, easy, and mutual access to it, then it's great! Otherwise, it probably IS more trouble than it is worth. Certainly isn't worth disease, unwanted pregnancy, or emotional quagmire.

Sometimes yes. However intimacy in a relationship is the glue that holds it together. Lack of intimacy will destroy any relationship.
