Yes you can , Baptism is a Communion "never" denied to achild no matter the status of the parents, religion, ideas , race, color, etc.
I am not married, and I am catholic; the dad of my twins is a Swedish Atheist and both of my babies got baptised as catholics, my mom was the Godmother and I gave to my brothers the Godfather's task.

yes you could, but a thought would be you should baptize a baby, you can dedicate it to the Lord, but the baby will not understand why its beign baptized you should wait till the baby is about 7 years old so the child can understand the meaning of baptizm and why were suppose to do this.

Of course, you can!
What's your married state got to do with the baby???
Nothing....

Having said that it is up to the priest/minister of the church you approach to say yes to the baptism. Sad hey!

I do know that the Catholic church will definitely baptise your baby. It's not in their beliefs to deny a child baptism.

I also know that if in an emergency, such as an unexpected accident, any person has the right to baptise 'on the spot'. All you say over the person/child is "I baptise you in the name of the father & of the son & of the holy ghost".

This is not recommended to be done for normal circumstances. One reason is that it will not be recorded in the church. To make the baptism official, forever, it's got to be done in a church by a priest who will then record it into church records.

Have a great christening & have a party afterwards.

Yes you can. Go for it. Mine is a different kind of story though. My foster mom was not married and had me baptized as her own daughter.

Yes!!! You not being married has nothing to do with you giving and devoting your child to God! It is a very special thing for you to experience with your baby. If your church has a problem with it, maybe you should consider looking for a less judgemental church. Your sins are forgiven if you've asked and they've been forgotten. All children are Gods children.

Most likely yes!
But you never know....
A couple of months ago, in my church, the priest refused to baptize a kid because the godmother was showing a cleavage.
unfortunately, its up to the priest... (and his mood sometimes)

you can do whatever you want. it's your baby. you may want to talk to the church and see if they will do it though. some churches have very strict rules about baptizing.

You can't but a Priest, Vicar, or Pastor can.

It is the child that is being baptised not you, so the church should not take your situation into account. They may however ask you to attend classes or courses to ensure that you are committed to bringing your child up with 'Christian' values.
