DO you find his characters different , or the pace or anything else...?

I have noticed, in Cell in particular, that his characters do not have the depth his characters normally have...and the pace is much quicker, there is an immediacy that is unusual for his work. I love the story and it is true to his old school gore, which made me aware of the difference. This might sound strange and not make sense but there is a compassion missing in his writing......

I can see a bit of a change but it's hard to categorize it. It could be because of the accident, or merely because he's getting older. A couple years ago I would say he's getting more serious and sentimental but then Cell came out which is definitely along the lines of his old school gore.

However, his newest novel Lisey's Story is completely unique and different than anything else he's written, and is definitely the product of a matured author.

Also regarding the person who says he's getting forgetful in his "old" age and recycling story lines: King has admitted that he has written newer novels in an attempt to improve on a storyline he tried when he was younger and was disappointed with. An example is 'Salem's Lot/Tommyknockers.

Stephen King used to be a family title approach earlier than Stephenie Meyer used to be. I've continually revered King and his writing. Even even though Meyer is totally fashionable on the second, she's going to not ever be in a position to scouse borrow the sunshine from an completed creator of four a long time. He is a literary legend and an best creator. Also, you need to observe that Stephen King's viewers is far older than the Twilight viewers. It is extra mature and dignified. They don't parade round boasting approximately him. They understand he's the shiz and move on approximately his trade. Although, they do not care to come back out and guard him we he's being attacked for answering an interview query Truthfully.

I feel like he's lost his sense of humor. And I actually think it started before the head injury. I think it actually started when he went sober a few years before that. I still enjoy his work, but it has lost something.

I've never read any of his books but I've seen him in the movies and he looks and acts retarded. So I don't know if its the head injury or just him.
