Definitely strength in numbers. But it only takes one to get things started.

You still need your strength as an individual even in large numbers. A large number can be a group, if everyone keeps their heads and acts in a civilized manner. If one person looses it, then they become a mob.

For example: a large crowd at a basketball game, they are there to support the team to victory, everything is civil, a large crowd after a championship win usually turns into a mob with vandalism.

One is enough for a group to become a mob.

Include unity too!
There was a story about a man who wanted to teach his sons about unity(and numbers). He took a stick and easily snapped it in half. Then he tied a whole bundle of sticks together and just could not snap it. The boys understood the implications.

There is strength in numbers. In the land of the blind, a one-eyed man may be a king or may be treated as a mad man and have his eye plucked out.

One is always enough!
The masses can support you or stand by you but in the end it's all about who you are and what you believe in!
