I really hate to jump to conclusions but it sounds like he feels guilty about something. The not being able to look you in the eye is an indication. Is it possible that he hung out with someone during his vacation and simply does not have the heart to tell you?

Do you think he could have done something on vacation that he's not that proud of ? His behaviour, as you describe it, has guilt written all over it. He can't look you in the eye? He hasn't given you a really good reason why he doesn't want to see you anymore? Sometime it's easier to just break up with someone rather than admit you cheated on them, or found someone new. That's how I read it. I may be jaded though.

Well if he is playing hard to get, then you definitely do not need someone like that in your life. He already told you how he feels. He said he just wants to be friends and that's that. I think you should just back off. If he is just being an idiot, pretending that he doesn't even know you anymore, then give him some of that as well. He doesn't even deserve a "HI" from you. Think about it. Don't humiliate yourself with this guy. Good Luck :D

3 months is not alot of time when you look at a lifetime that could be 80 years - obviously he is not the one for you.. move on as best as you can.. he is acting immature and you should take the upper hand in this and be strong. There are plenty of guys out there that will treat you much better than this..

Wow, I envy you. I just broke up with my boyfriend of 10 years and I feel awful. All I want to do is call him all the time. I just wanted to say good for you that you made a decision to be the bigger person and you are actually doing it. You're an inspiration to me.

It sounds as if he has a bit of a guilty conscience. Two weeks is not that long - except if something happened in them - then a day can be a long time.
Just stay friendly - let him come to you. It might never happen, but then it wasn't meant to be. It might also be that he doesn't know how to approach the subject, especially if he has done something he is not proud of.

he either cheated on you while he was gone or he wants to see how far he can push you before you act jealous and defensive so my advise is keep doing what your doing and don't let him see that the break up bothers you you should even go out with other guys then he might wake up
hope this help good luck

Well, your story is an example of why it is recommended that people not date people they work with- if things go sour, it gets awkward. Just distance yourself like you're already doing, and keep a serene demeanor- he's a boob and not worth any lingering thoughts.

Somthing happened when he was away and he is afraid you will find out.... Thats what im thinking. Maybe he knows you deserve better? Maybe he fell in love with someone else?
Just my opinion, but I hope that helps.
