Even though an establishment may normally be open all the time, they may have to close once in a while. For example, if there is a power failure, the store might close until power is restored. If there were to be a robbery, the store would be closed while the police are responding. Stores may also close for certain holidays, or other reasons, even if they are normally always open!

Because 24/7 isn't really 24/7. In England, they have to operate restricted hours on a Sunday, and even Tesco close on Christmas day. Also they need to secure the place if they have to evacuate due to fire, flood, whatever.

My 2 year previous gets gated into her room at evening, or, like your son, she'll get up and wander, and that i will awaken to her downstairs staring at television and ingesting chips from the pantry at 3:00 AM. Locking the door did not help, because of the fact she could launch it. The "childproof" door knob covers did not artwork the two. She had those discovered in minutes. i've got got here across if we stack 2 gates on suitable of one yet another, around the door, she will't get out and can't climb over them.

Probably a labor or union law required by the building code. And, if they have to go to the bathroom or have a hot chick that needs personized service, they can be assured of privacy.
