I too have PCOS and my husband and I have been trying to conceive for two months now. I have been taking the prescribed drug Metformin for my PCOS for the past year. Metformin is used as a diabetic medication, but since PCOS has been shown to affect your insulin they have found that this medication will help regulate your insulin and hormones in turn regulating your ovulation.

I was told that it can take up to six months for the Metformin to help straighten things out, but some people I know got pregnant after a few short months.

I wish you well and quick success! I know how you feel and everytime I get my period I get discouraged, but I just try to think "positive". Take care

Ask your doctor about getting on clomid, because clomid helps allow the female body to ovulate more often rather then ovulateing maybe every other month or so because of having PCOS. I wish you the best of luck and hope this helped.
