I think he'll do pretty well, but, of course, he has gotten what, 29 runs in his support over the course of his 2 starts. He's pitched solidly, of course, but he's had a good working margin the whole time. I hope to see him pitch live soon.

I think he'll do around the same thing most young starters labeled "future ace" do: An ERA over 4, decent k/9 numbers, a few wins and probably an awful WHIP.

He's got great stuff and should do well a few years from now. His last game against the Mets looked promising. You'd think a kid making the second start of his career against a lineup like the Mets would have fared a lot worse. Throw in the fact that he made an error, threw a wild pitch and balked during the course of the game. Most young pitchers would have completely imploded and he didn't. I think he showed some poise and could be excellent as soon as he starts to put it together.

Not sure how patient the Tigers are being with Miller as last year they leapfrogged him from Single A to the majors, and this year he only spent a few games in AA.

But since I live in the AA town of the Tigers and was not able to get to see him pitch this season I probably am a bit prejudiced (I've never quite forgiven the Tigers for jumping Bonderman to the majors when he was scheduled to open in AA, but at least i was able to see Verlander pitch a few times before he got promoted - and spent a year and a half almost seeing every start Zumaya made in AA.)

A friend of mine saw one of his last starts in AA and wasn't that impressed. She also talked to a scout and someone else who basically made the same comment that I said - that pitchers can be rough on this level.

What concerns me is that the Tigers are bringing him up to stick him in the pen - everything I have read about him is that his future is as a starter and in the long run I expect to see him as a FOR starter.

And I am going to wish I had seen him in person at least once.

Andrew Miller is good as could become second Tigers rookie to win the Rookie of the Year since Justin Verlander who won the Rookie of the Year last year. Andrew could become next Justin. But he's the left hander pitcher as sent in minor games last year after had been top 10 pick ups last year. Many Tigers fans think that Andrew could lead Tigers to World Series again this year. They need many starters pitchers to become the closers for playoff. Andrew played for North Carolina before lost to Oregon State in College World Series.

I think in due time he will be an outstanding front of the line type starter in the major leagues. The Tigers are being very patient with him, giving him and Tiger fans a taste of the future. There are many ups and downs that young players go thru, so this is the reason organizations do not rush players thru their system until they are ready. Remember, at this time last year, he was headed to Omaha to pitch for North Carolina in the College World Series. He is currently 2-0 this year at the major league level, but may not be here to stay. The Tigers are experiencing some injuries to their staff and he may only be here temporarily.

I've seen Miller pitch multiple times at the college level and he's amazing. Since he is still new to the league, I don't think he'll do really well this year, but he'll still do ok. I think he will consistently give the Tigers a chance to win, but won't be lights out every outing. In the future, he has the ability to be the ace of their staff.

I'd be surprised if he didn't turn into at least a good #2 starter. He dominated the college ranks last year (player of the year) and has been almost unhittable in the minors.

Along with Justin Verlander and Jeremy Bonderman, he should give the Tigers the best trio of young pitchers in all of baseball.

He's already doing well...He's incredible considering this he's a ML rookie. He has a ton of potential, he could be one of the best down the road. Thank goodness he's a TIGER!! Help OUR bullpen. Nice addition to Bonderman, Veerlander & Ledezma... Man do I miss Zumaya!!! It certainly shows!!!
