Your question made me think of a funny story.
Once, when I was off work sick with a lung problem this telephone survey guy called.
I was really breathless, had been for days.
Anyway, I was having trouble getting rid of the guy (I don't like to just hang up, I know they're annoying but they're just trying to earn a living). So I'm trying to answer his questions, and panting and trying to catch my breath.
After a little while the guy suddenly stops talking for about 5 seconds, then he says "Ma am..."(long pause)"Are you....having sex?"
I was so shocked I didn't even know what to say. I just hung up. Every time I think of it it makes me laugh.
Oh, in answer to the question. No.

It gives a whole different meaning to the phrase, " I'm coming to the phone." Your sex life is less than stellar when you are talking to telemarketers between pelvic thrusts and screams of " I love you, and Oh my God." The polite thing to do would be to put the telemarketer on hold and give your partner time to finish reading her book.

No. I don't think I would even be able to hear it ring - i am very focused that way. Even when I have a conversation with someone, I become oblivious to everything/everyone else.
And if making love, even more so. My lover deserves no less.

Not usually, but my husband checks the caller id. He gets a lot of phone calls at home that are work related. Nothing kills the mood like "baby I've gotta take this one.."
