Of course, just look at actress Marlee Matalin. She's legally deaf, but uses special hearing aides and has performed on Broadway, has a successful career on television and film... It can be done!

I wear hearing aids and I have been in so many plays! Broadway is amazing yes, but its the same thing a theatre full of people there to watch you perform. If you can wear hearing aids at your local theatre you can on Broadway too.

Of course they can be on Broadway. The point of wearing a hearing aid is to hear better...so they would be able to hear the orchestra.

I'm sure that they could, but it might be a little bit of a hassle just because of all the extra things you'd have to deal with with costuming, feedback from microphones, etc.

Have you heard of Marlee Matlin, Youngest winner of an Oscar for best actress, and often in stage roles? She is nearly 100% deaf.
