Although he's currently on the DL, Chipper Jones is still their best offensive player when healthy. His OPS of 1.17 is by far the best on the team, and he'd been again showing serious power before being hurt. Some of the kids like McCann and Johnson have been impressive, but Chipper is the best with the bat.

On the mound, I'd go with another veteran in John Smoltz. I keep expecting him to crash, but he's cruising along at age 40 with a sub-3 ERA while easily leading the team in strikeouts. I'm not sure if he'll make the Hall of Fame, but he's certainly helping his chances with a season like this one.

At the moment, John Smoltz certainly is. He's proved that he can shut 'em down as a starter as well as in the closer's role. His ERA been consistently low, and he's a perennial All Star.

For the future, Jarrod Saltalamacchia could be a star, as could McCann or Francoeur. We'll see, though...
