Are the Cardinals a surprise team? They were supposed to be last year, and that didn't work out, but even if they do improve, it's not unexpected, and I don't think they'll go 11-5 or anything...
Browns won't, Raiders won't...rookie QBs
I'd say the best candidate is the Lions. They have a Vet QB in Kitna who has been to a pro bowl, two great WRs and an O-coordinator that can use them in Martz. Plus, they're in a weak division...

The 49er will be a surprise team this year. They have put together a strong team. They picked up Darrell Jackson who is inconstant at times but still a down field threat. I also think Frank Gore is going to have a good season. While alone these players do not make the team good the combination the 49er put together will take them to the playoffs.

I'd love to see the Cardinals do well. They have Anquan Boldin, Larry Fitzgerald, Edge, and Leinart. I know that everyone says they are the team to watch every year, but I really feel that they will be the surprise of the NFC this season.

I think the 49ers are ready to take a step up and compete for the NFC West this year. They built the team the right way through the draft and this year focused on the defensive side of the ball. Frank Gore is proving to be a very very good running back in the league who can hurt you rushing or receiving.

I am picking the Tennessee Titans. They came on the second half of last year and will continue to make strides.
I laugh when I see the Cardinals listed. How many years in a row is everyone going to fall for "they are going to be better this year." Last year everyone said they were going to do well because they picked up Edgerrin James. Some of you need to learn something about football!

I would desire to bypass with Detroit. Kitna's prediction of a 10 win season won't be that far out of attain. with the aid of week 4, that they had the optimum rated offense in the league. confident, they fell aside on the Deadskins, yet what did you assume with a checklist of 0 - 20 at Washington? i think of they arrive back solid after the bye and can win 9 or 10 video games this year, which will even get them a wildcard in the playoffs.

I think the Cardinals are going to be this years surprise story. and with the Super Bowl being held in Phoenix, it should help boost their merchandise sales a bit! I doubt it will be as big of a "feel good" story as the New Orleans Saints last year, but I think AZ has the tallent to surprise a lot of people this year.

I'd say the cardinals except they have supposed to be that team for the last three years.
49ers and Lions have a shot due to the easy divisions.
Overall the niners are probably the big new team, young and talented, the new bengals, but not all in jail.

San Francisco had a great draft, and has a stud running back in Frank Gore. The defense will be better, all of that should get them to 8 maybe 9 wins this year, and a possible playoff spot.
