Yes, you can survive without water for life [1].
Notes
[1] Life expectancy will of course be reduced to around 3-5 days from the time of water intake ceasing.

Ok, everyone answers no eh ? Well, scientifically you are right. Note, we can;t live without water because eventually all the water is going get out of our system. But say we find some way we CAN keep it IN our system. Few sages throughout india live without wated or food for years togeather. If you're not gonna let the water leave then why do you need more. There is a kid named Rahul who lives in Bhutan i think, saw this on discovery, who has been meditating for over 5 years now....no water!!!
Research on meditation, you'll see what i mean.
As far as you and i are concerne, NO, we definitly need water

Yes and no.
Technically, you cannot live without water in some form or another. You will dehydrate and die within a week. BUT... you don't actually have to drink glasses of water for your body to get the water it needs. You can get it from drinking other liquids which contain water, or eating foods that contain water. In some places and time periods where water was unsanitary, people often drank beer and ate vegetables to get their water.
So if you mean can the body survive with no water, then certainly not. If you mean can we survive without actually drinking glasses of water, then yes. We can survive without drinking it... but it is still not the healthiest way to get the water your body needs.

Our body content is mostly water. Directly or indirectly I have to take water to survive. So I may survive taking water indirectly from juice, etc but without water for life I will not survive.

As far as I know, water is so unique in its makeup and so essential for life that no other liquid can replace it.
Now, if you mean drinking straight-up water, you can survive without doing so. You'd better still be getting water in whatever you're drinking, though, because otherwise you won't last too long.

People can last a few days without water depending on the environment in which they find themselves and whether [they are] injured or not
Without water anyone will run into problems pretty quickly. Their blood volume will shrink and their water and electrolyte balance will be upset. Eventually the body will just go into shock,"

Definitely nope. Dehydration takes place following the absence of water(H20) in our body. Kidney won't be able to function well without water. Water acts as a kidney purifier that purifies the waste products produced. Water is essential for us to remove waste substances out of our body via urination.
