As Skoda says, the cake is ‘as close to the real thing as it’s possible to get with sponge’. Well, quite.
Sadly, although the the cakey Fabia may have looked good enough to eat, it wasn’t.
After several days under hot studio lights it was deemed that the risk of scores of children and hospital patients struck down by food poisoning brought on by eating a car cake may not represent the kind of publicity Skoda had hoped for.

They cut it up and gave it out to customers/viewers free of charge in the Skoda car showroom in London. Yum.

they had to turn it into compost cause the studio lights made it go hard it was unfit to eat it was in the sun newspaper last week
