By the phrase "available online," do you mean a place where you can order a bound copy or a place where you can download the contents? I ask because it seems reasonable that books that are old enough to be in the public domain are probably more likely to be at a free ebooks site than books that were published in the last few years.

Some of the sites are searchable by both author and title, so I'd encourage you not to give up.

IF .......... you like mystery stories such as Nancy Drew,The Hardey Boys or the Bobbsey twins try ebay and also these three titles all have their own websites,so just look around a little. The origanal Nancy Drew books are blue with a magnifying glass on the cover, there are 38 of these made in the early 1930s also they have added 18 of them and redone the first ones. They were made in the early 1950s and these have a yellow spine and are called the Nancy Drew Mystery stories ...GRREEEAATT books. The Hardy boys are similer to Nancy Drew, but they are brothers solving 58 mystery stories. There are special editions were they put two stories in one and also where the Hardy Boys and Nancy Drew and her pals work together, those are kinda hard to find. The Bobbsey twins I think are mabe two sisters or somthing like that and there are only like 17 of those. If you want to buy these books around your place look at Barns and Noble ,probaly wont find these in most librarys.

I've found http://www.bookfinder.com to be quite helpful. It allows you to search for first editions, and out of print works. It also lets you specify price range and binding in order to limit the results.
