Jason, nice advice there, but you should not sign the letter with your God.
As for the end of the world being in the year 2000, that is a load of crap. This information was not revealed to us and it was not revealed to the prophets. In fact when the prophet used to be asked about it, he used to say the knowledge is with God. i do not know where people come and claim to know when the hour will come.
The hour has been concealed from us (just like the day you will die is concealed) and that is a mercy from God. We were told of the signs though and there are small signs and big signs.

the following is a verse from the quran regarding the hour:
(5) They ask you about the Hour (Day of Resurrection): "When will be its appointed time?" Say: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord (Alone). None can reveal its time but He. Heavy is its burden through the heavens and the earth. It shall not come upon you except all of a sudden." They ask you as if you have a good knowledge of it. Say: "The knowledge thereof is with Allah (Alone) but most of mankind know not."
سورة الأعراف , Al-Araf, Chapter #7, Verse #187)
this verse shows us that the hour will come all of a sudden, and no one has knowledge. so people who claim it will be in such and such a date are making false claims.

The use of the word theroy in your statment implies that you are not sure you believe in Armaggedon. My thoughts on all of this is just try to live a moral life and occasionally inconvience yourself to help another. You will feel better about yourself as a human being, you will inspire others, and in the end if there is one; you will have nothing to worry about.

When the hydrogen in the sun's core is used up, the sun will expand as a red giant. This astronomical event will happen in about 5 billion years. The sun will engulf earth and life here will be no more.
This is truly Armageddon.

The world was suppose end in 2000. Well, here we are in 2007. Although, nuclear war is on its way.

Well the Bible states your flesh will melt off your body before you fall. The only think I know of that will do that is nuclear war.

robert, i think you mean the sun will become a white dwarf. That is the next event in the sequence. then a supernova.
