It sounds like your main drain is almost completely clogged. For clogs that are more localized to a specific area of the house such as just the toilet or just the tub, normally those you can attempt to unclog yourself. However, when the main drainage line gets clogged, that is a good time to call in the plumber and get professional help. Your drain is beyond the point of putting chemicals down it. Call a plumber.

The main drain can clog for a number of reasons. It could be and old metal pipe that finally corroded and collapsed. Or tree roots could be pushing their way into the drain or a number of other things. I recommend you start saving back money because the repair may not be cheap.

It sounds like a clog in the line. You could try this before you call the plumber. Pour one cup rock salt and one cup vinegar down EVERY drain. Add 3 cups boiling water. Allow to sit for an hour, and then flush with cold water.

If this doesn't work this time, do this once a month after you get the clog fixed, and you won't have further problems.

Almost everybody says its hair. It may well could be but here is a new solution. Your vent pipe may be clogged with something such as leaves. When there is not enough air behind water for it to drain, it drains slow and will cause a gurgling sound at your sink, stool, washer, whatever else is connected to the same vent. The p-trap is filled with water and when its trying to pull air, it makes that gurgling sound. Go to the roof with a vacuum and vacuum that vent pipe. You can try snaking it as well.

It's called a clog.

Somewhere in your line, or even in the street sewer, there is a partial blockage.

Sounds like you'll have to call a plumber to scope and snake your drains. If worst comes to worst, you'll have to pay for an excavator to come in and rip-up your yard so the plumber can replace broken pipes.

As for the fun part, the bubbling toilet...that would tend to confirm the clog/break is in your main line.

Many times the culprit is either loose hair that has found its way into the drain or fats, oils, and greases from our cleaning products. Check out the article for more information.
